As founder of the Clear Lake Tea Party, I want to set the record straight.  Randy Weber has been claiming his involvement in starting seven Tea Parties in Congressional District 14.  Randy Weber did not help start the Clear Lake Tea Party, as he claims.  He has donated money once to the Clear Lake Tea Party: $50 in December of 2010; and he paid $100 for a table rental at the Clear Lake Tea Party October Rally.  Since the Clear Lake Tea Party began in February of 2009, Randy’s money can hardly be considered seed money to start our Tea Party.  It takes much more than $100 or $200 to start and run a Tea Party.  Randy Weber has never been a speaker at any of our Clear Lake Tea Party events either, as he claims.  Furthermore, it was the Clear Lake Tea Party (not Randy),  that helped start the Galveston County Tea Party, the Pearland Tea Party, and the Lake Jackson Tea Party.  All those Tea Parties deserve the credit for what they have started and what they are doing to restore sanity back to this country.
